March 19th, 2015, Shanghai -- “Hilong 106” pipe-laying derrick barge set sail on March 16th, from Wharf No. Zero of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co., Ltd., Changxing Base, towards Zhoushan carrying a crew of 126, to carry out the Eastern Sea Offshore Pipe-laying Project of CNOOC.
“Hilong 106” was expected to arrive and anchor in the vicinity of the Dongji Isle south anchorage at 13:00 on March 17th , and to wait for the construction crew of 100, who will take a stop-over in Zhoushan, to get on board. It is anticipated that in the afternoon of March 18th, the barge would set sail again towards the construction site and commence their mission.
With colourful blaze of fireworks and salvo of firecrackers, “Hilong 106”, carrying Hilong’s faith towards victory in the move to petroleum offshore engineering, sailed forward in the sea. Present in the seeing-off ceremony were those from the management of Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering, including Xiao Long, Vice President of Hilong Group and General Manager of Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering, Geng Tao and Qiu Qiaopeng, Vice General Managers of Hilong Petroleum Offshore Engineering, and the company’s staff members. Also present were the management of Zhenhua Heavy Industries and its factory employees.
